Fifth Times Wellness Workshop
The doctors spoke at length about the various problems that women face with their menstrual cycle. Dr. Badhwar spoke about Dysmenorrhoea or pain in the abdomen during the cycle, the causes behind it and the preventive measures that one can take. She further went on to talk about Chronic Pelvic Pain or CPP and warned women that they shouldn't just accept it and take it as a part of life but should get themselves examined. Dr. Chadha talked about fibroids, which though benign tumours can keep growing and create discomfort. She explained at length about what causes these fibroids, the risk factors involved and how they can be treated. She also spoke about Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding, the causes and treatment. Each of the presentations by the doctors was supported by clipping and pictures which gave the audience a better understanding of the diseases. The presentations were followed by an interactive question and answer session, with the audience flooding the doctors with a number of questions. From personal to general queries, the doctors answered each question from the curious audience. The workshop ended with a vote of thanks. |
